Snack Pack Net

It hit me that all the product variations I was thinking of designing would need an actual container to be placed in so I began to brainstorm a few ideas. I looked at a range of options and narrowed down my choices through elimination due to impracticality etc. Below are scans of my work sheets and the process I carried out.

I decided for the purpose of this particular brief I would go with Example One from above. It is a simple enough box that can be easily modified to give it more of a personality. It also appears sturdy and can be constructed with only the smallest amount of time and effort. Below is a scan of the net that I will be working with. I then used this to create my own with Adobe Illustrator.

Below is the net I created and can from now on use and edit to the way I like. I get the feeling I will make it appear less rigid and give it a bit more of a 'curved' feel. I also want to incorporate the NBC peacock somewhere in the design. Could I use this as handle aesthetic or even use the shape as a window to view inside? There are many possibilities.

To prove that the net works I printed off a copy and had a go at assembling it. Obviously the scale is much smaller than what the final product will be, but it was a useful exercise as it ensured in my mind that this net was a viable and productive option.
